  • 01/25/05 (5:11 PM): I just am starting to get over a horrible cold I got upon my return. It has not been fun, my lungs are in pain. Damn coughing. Anyways, I finally got my Colorado pics off my card and up for you. These are not the most exciting vacation photos since most of the trip I was by myself, so you get many many mountains. The mountains were gorgeous. Go see um...

  • 01/25/05 (11:29 PM): Colorado... breath-taking. Thanks a ton Lippa for a great time! Sun shined every day, I soaked it up, even got a little pink, some of the freckles even came back. I had lots of time to be peaceful, it was awesome. I read 5 books, in 6 days time (but I spent the majority of one of those days sleeping). Ice skated on a pond and in a rink, ate the most amazing cookies ever, and saw the Continental Divide. Most surprising, I even made the local paper, how about that one? Sunday morning, nice and hung over, looking our best, Lippa and I had just finished our breakfast and were walking to the car. I saw this guy snap a photo out of the corner of my eye. We joked about being in the local paper the next day, and sure enough, we were on page A3! Here is the photo, and here is the article if you really want to know why... our photo did not however make the website, only the cover image made the website.

  • 01/19/05 (11:30 PM): Wow, so it's been 6 days since I've posted. I'm slacking. I'm suppose to be packing, but I can't seem to start... I'm going to Colorado tomorrow... I should be packing now. Oh well. People have been very confusing to me lately. I'm usually good at reading people, but not so much anymore. My senses are lacking. I think I need to sleep more. There is never enough time to get what you want done. I envy people who have too much time on their hands. Then again, if I had too much time on my hands I'd go crazy with boredom. I like to keep myself moving. Of course I should be using this time to pack, but instead I thought I'd update my post. Something important to do before a trip anyways, since ya'll won't get my posts when I'm out there. So this post was rather pointless. Deal with it.

  • 01/13/05 (9:05 PM): Had a hockey game last night and I played awesome! Well, awesome for me! I was right in there, hitting the puck, keeping up, checking people, it was madness. I shot at the goal and almost scored, but didn't. I was also proud of the fact that I got dressed without problems and before anyone else! I'm usually the last out of the locker room. On the ice, I also took a nasty fall after two players came at me from the other direction and I hit the ice HARD. My head hurt for a minute, but then I kept right on going. Today, my head doesn't hurt at all, however my neck is killing me. My whole body is pretty soar. The last games I played I couldn't really skate, so I didn't exert myself as much!

  • 01/11/05 (10:53 PM): Went to an RIT hockey game tonight cause there was one. We lost 3-5. Sigh. Pretty good game to watch though. Kinda sore from working out yesterday, either that or from hockey. Not sure, but my knees are sore. The knees are hurting me now, just imagine they'll feel when I'm 50? Hockey game tomorrow. Hope I do well, I've been in much ice time. A little nervous and very excited.

  • 01/10/05 (11:17 PM): Oh yeah, I'm going to Colorado. January 20-25, 2005. Here are ice cycles from this weekend...

  • 01/10/05 (9:35 PM): My retreat was great. I'm very excited about the program, not so excited about all the work. It'll be worth it though. Need to start ASAP. Lydia and I went to the RIT hockey game. We lost unfortunately. Good game though. Then I saw Steve, who I have not seen in 10 million years. So we got a bite with him and hung out for a while. Then, Sunday I had to wake up all ass early for church. I almost fell asleep during one of the sermons, it's a good thing I'm up in that balcony. To top things off, the other soprano who sings the descant and harmonies, wasn't there. So I was all on my own. I crashed after church and then went skating. It was adult night at the rink and there were not any 14 year olds all over the place. A couple of college kids having fun, but all in all the ice was fairly clear. I skated for the first half hour with my shin guards on. Damn, does that tire you. It's much harder to skate with them, you don't have the same flexibility. Then I spent the last half hour skating around the circle in the middle of the rink, once clockwise, next counter-clockwise, then reverse... Got kinda dizzy a few times. It was very good practice for my cross-over and balance. Slowly but surely I learn to skate... still pretty shitty in the hockey world, but in the normal world I'm getting pretty good. I have my second to last game this Wednesday. Hopefully with all the practice I've had I'll do much better.

  • 01/07/05 (8:03 PM): So, I will not be around this weekend much. I have a retreat for Leadership Cayuga Friday overnight into Saturday. Then I think I might go to the RIT hockey game. Damn I love hockey. I'll be in the ROC that night, so if you want to chill, call my cell.

  • 01/01/05 (11:59 PM): Happy New Year, 24 hours later! Oh, how much better things have been. I'm about to overdraw my checking account because Christmas and New Years were a financial nightmare, but that doesn't seem to matter right now because last week was a great one. I got to see many friends and meet new ones. I ice skated twice... watch out world, she can skate backwards (just not very well), and had what I believed to be one of the best New Years Celebrations I could imagine. I had a long streak of bad ones and after the Christmas I had, I'm very optimistic about the coming year. Resolutions:

    • Lose Weight (I know, it's on everyone's list)
    • Budget Myself (spending myself to death, can do better)
    • Be kinder and giving (always a goal, but there are certain people I can do better towards)
