06/27/06 (8:19 PM): Lydia is leaving me tomorrow for vacation
and that makes me sad. Who will I waste time with? Maybe I'll
actually get some things done that I've been meaning to do...
like
- clean my room
- finish my Alaska photos
- re-format my iPod
- do laundry
- organize financials
- read a book
- catch up on DVR
I mean really, the list is pretty endless. That isn't the half
of it. But, I want to be out enjoying my summer... I want
to be camping. That's what I'm dreaming of...

06/22/06 (11:19 PM): So it has been a rough week for me. Lots
of weirdness and frustration, but I've figured some things
out. I decided that it's time to set the wheels of motion on
the next stage in life. I mean really, how long can I live
at home? Things have been really great as of late with the
rents (thanks for trying mom), but I think I'm moving in with
Lyd. I also decided to tell my boss that it's time to start
looking for my replacement. Now, I'll still be here for like
9 months or longer. Small company, big transition. My boss
has done so much for me, it's the least I could do. Plus, it'll
give me time to start brushing off the old resume, building
a website and a portfolio (eeks).
In other good news, Bryan just celebrated his birthday! I think he
had a good time. We are officially taking him out on Sunday
for some vegetarian cuisine in Ithaca. It's our little birthday
club. After all attempts at having fun birthdays last year
were ruined, we are making this year's great!
I also managed to make both my Geneva softball league games this week.
I had a double on Tuesday, which was awesome! My parents came
to watch my game (thanks mom and dad). It was nice to have
fans... just wish I didn't suck so badly the rest of the game
and that we had won, but we did win tonight. I also had two
stellar hits, but they were just singles. I also played second
base, which was weird. I have a great scrape on my elbow too
from home plate. I didn't slide either. I crossed the plate
and the girl went to tag me and pushed me over... and I tumbled.
The ground at that field is so incredibly hard! I was safe,
so it was worth it. Was a close game too, so it was a good
point!
Saturday we are doing the Cayuga Wine Trail Carnival Cook-Off event.
Cheese food and wine pairings, games and give-aways... good
times. I will of course have my camera in hand. Want to see
the other photos I've taken along the way. Now, mind you these
are not edited and some are really bad, but we just make the
index, I pick or fix until they are going in a publication.
www.coburndesign.com/cayugawinetrail Maybe
you'll see one in the next Cayuga
Wine Trail brochure. This years brochure will be the last I design.
Tonight I was driving and there were so many fireflys! I pulled over
and shut off my lights and sat, watching this field twinkle.
There were millions of them, I have not seem them that dense
in a long long time. It was incredible. I wish I had someone
in the car with me!

06/07/06 (11:58 AM): A great happy birthday to my sister, my Aunt Sue and my Aunt Kris... today is all their birthdays!
In other news, I had to be a big dork and share my new something with you. I
took my birthday money from the rents and bought me a new pair of kicks. I needed
them. The old ones were looking pretty ragged (complete with long burn mark all
the way across the front of one from the camp fire at Canada) and
I'm
walking
for
5
hours
for
Relay for Life on Friday. There is still time to donate if
you are feeling generous! Lydia and I took the 11pm-4am long haul. If anyone
wants to do some late night walking with us, we'd be glad to have you! Here are
my kicks I've been eyeing since I saw them in REI in Alaska. They're pretty.

06/06/06 (4:13 PM): It's 666 today, spooky. A photo from my birthday dinner.

06/05/06 (8:13 AM): I've disappear for a while, I know. But
today I have the biggest news!
It's my birthday! That's right, today I turned a quarter century old. Crazy.
Yesterday I watched my cousin Hannah graduate. She had a killer party
and I had a grand old time. Blew my calories for the day on
wine though, grr. My cousin Rachel graduated the day before.
My girls are all grown up!
Saturday I took a couple on a wine tour for a little extra cash. Yea
to money! I'll need it this summer for all my adventures.
Friday we went to the Taste of Syracuse. On the way, I lost $30 out
of my pocket. We walked another 10 min back to the car and
didn't find it. Then, we were walking back and Lydia spotted
a ten sticking out of a grate! Then I looked over and my $20
was in the street. Funny enough, it happened like 10 feet from
where I noticed it gone. Somehow it survived the 20 minutes
it took to come back to it. Then we discovered Awful Als had
closed. Bummer. We didn't actually eat anything at the Taste
of Syracuse. We decided to get Sushi instead, yum.
Last weekend was our family trip to NYC. It was a crazy weekend. We
rode the ferry to see the statue, we spent some time at the
seaport, climbed the Empire State Building, went to Penzies
(erin's spice store), went to the MoMA (only for an hour though),
saw Beauty and the Beast, went to Mars 2010, took a buggy ride
in the park, had some drinks in a pub in Times Square, saw
ground zero, and had lunch in Central Park. It was fun, I had
a great time with my sister.
