  • 08/30/05 (11:16 PM): So I took a little time to update my pictures page. It was seriously out of date. Still have not done the New Orleans photos yet, I still need to do those. Rain. Lots of Rain.

  • 08/30/05 (8:32 AM): You know what I don't understand? Why, if a category 5 hurricane, predicted to be one of the worst in decades, was coming straight at you, would you not evacuate? They were rescuing children too. What father or mother would keep their children in the path of a hurricane? People are stupid.

  • 08/28/05 (9:02 PM): So I forgot about this and was cleaning my desk. I just had to share my disappointment. I didn't expect to get anything great, I did it for the children. But, this is the certificate they sent. Don't you think they could have gotten a designer to do a little something better? I mean come on, I grew out my hair for three years and I get a cheesy postcard. I know they are non for profit, but this is a big deal to people who cut all their hair off!

  • 08/28/05 (8:15 PM): This weekend I took my Lyd to the airport. She is leaving me for over a week, I just don't know what I'm going to do with myself. Friday we saw Beauty and the Beast at the Merry-go-Round. It was a good show but the special effects were a little cheesy. Then again, it's tough to do some of the effects. Saturday I played in the softball tournament. Our team got third place, not too bad. So softball is officially over for me. Today I volunteers at Artrain USA, which is a traveling museum on a train. It's pretty cool. Volunteering turned out to be very boring though, as I just stood there for three hours. Then I worked in the yard and moved some of my day lilies that were doing poorly in the corner. I didn't move them all, just half. I'm running out of places to plant them. Then I rode my bike out to the Spring and back, which pooped me out. I'm hoping to do it more often now that the weather is back to a decent temperature. I'll also be watching much weather channel. I'm frightened that New Orleans may be flooded for some time. I'm glad I got to see it this year! The natural disasters in this world are getting out of control. Keep buying those Hummers and gas guzzlers. We are destroying our environment and it's fighting back.

  • 08/24/05 (11:12 PM): I had my last softball game tonight. We kicked their butt and won by the run rule. I then talked to Tracy and it looks like I'll probably be playing hockey again this fall. On the drive home, I could see a faint bit of Aurora Borealis to the North. It's very faint, but you could definitely see light green banding. It was cool. Sorry I have not been updating. I've been working my tail off at work. We are so busy and I've been working so hard. I haven't felt much like coming home to sit in front of a computer.

  • 08/13/05 (5:42 PM): Clyde Carnival is going on... need I say more? All the scum and all the fun, all in one small town! I do like the fried dough and all the people out.

  • 08/01/05 (10:41 PM): I'm so tired. July was a very active month and has left me beat. I can't believe summer is almost over. There is so much I want to do and not enough time to do it. I have something planned every weekend through Labor Day. Sigh.
