10/30/04 (2:30 PM): As you may have noticed, I have
not been updating. Why? Just haven't felt like it. That happens
when you spend your entire day on the computer at work. Anyways,
the trip to NC was a good one. It started off by my sister and
I getting into a fight before I arrived, but by the time I got
there we both had calmed down and it was ok. We went to the
Renaissance Festival in NC and had a great time.
October is almost over. There are more leaves on the ground
than on the trees. The cold weather and lack of sunshine has
started to take it's toll on everyone, including myself. People
get sick, tired and miserable (especially my mother) and pass
it on. I miss my flip flops. My poor feet are readjusting to
wearing regular shoes and my Teva Tan has faded away, along
with most of my freckles. I feel a slight depression coming...
and I'm not looking forward to it.

10/22/04 (11:54 PM): I got this email from my sister
today and I thought I'd share... The Republican National Committee
announced today that the Republican Party is changing its emblem
from an elephant to a condom. The committee chairman explained
that the condom more clearly reflects the party's stance today,
because a condom accepts inflation, halts production, destroys
the next generation, protects a bunch of pricks, and gives you
a sense of security while you're actually getting screwed.
On a related topic, I watched Fahrenheit 911 again tonight
with my dad. For anyone who has not seen this documentary, you
owe it to yourself to go and see it. If you think it is all
propaganda bull, that's fine, but you should watch it before
you dismiss it.

10/20/04 (9:17 PM): I need to call my sister to discuss
our plans this weekend. She has to work on Saturday, so I'll
sleep at her place. My flight leaves at like 5:30 am from Rochester,
so I'll have to be out the door by 3:00 am. So damn early. Then
I think we are hitting up the Ren Fair down there. Maybe we
could do something Halloweenish too. I wonder how easy it would
be to find Haunted Hay Rides or something. The Corn Maizes are
both like two hours away. It'd be great if Mare could meet us,
but I have a feeling she'll be with her son... who I took pictures
of, but none really came out. I forgot about one of the switches
Steve switched on the camera and you need that for auto focus.
Duh me. Oh well, now I'll never forget to do it when it's pertinent
to work.

10/19/04 (10:17 PM): Going to North Carolina this weekend...
only 3 more days of work. I was thinking today, I know, usually
very dangerous thing to do, but do you realize I've been single
for roughly 2 years and 5 months? You think after that amount
of time I'd have found someone, but alas, there is no one in
hicksville I'm interested in. I'm just happy that I'm not with
the ex. How miserable would I have been right now, and I'm actually
very content single. Sure, you miss the benefits that a boyfriend
can offer, but they take up so much time. I like having my time
to do whatever I want!

10/18/04 (10:15 PM): This weather is depressing me.
I can deal with it getting colder, but does it have to rain
as well? I have not gotten to go out and take any fall pictures
cause of this rain, it is gorgeous outside right now... but
rain, nothing but rain. Rain in the forecast... the rain is
going to turn into snow, then we'll have a ton of snow... mark
my word, it's going to be a bad winter. I hope I'm wrong...
I have decided that it is time to learn to snowboard. It's something
I've wanted to do, just never had anyone who did it and wanted
to teach me. I was hoping to play hockey this winter, but the
lady never called me. Oh well, Lydia is in, so I think we'll
go somewhere and take a lesson...
-
10/18/04 (9:43 PM): This weekend was a good one. I went
to Rochester on Friday to visit Steve and then we went to Buffalo
on Saturday so I could spend some GF time with Cyn. Steve went
to the Bills game with the boys. Tonight, I sleep... I'm so
tired. We stayed up pretty late just hanging out. Then the guys
had to wake early and I ended up waking with them, so I was
up when they were up and I don't go back to bed very easily.
Got home late last night and crashed.
-
10/15/04 (8:20 PM): So incredibly happy it's Friday.
We got the most kick ass camera at work this week, a Nikon D70.
It's beautiful. I'm hopefully taking it home with me today to
learn how to use it more properly. Also, as a reward for all
the photos I've been taking for work, my boss bought me the
car battery charger for my camera. Very excited about that as
well!! I love taking pictures.

10/13/04 (10:35 PM): Got the photos
up from the camping trip! Hope you likey.
-
10/13/04 (9:30 PM): I finally got my car inspected.
Turns out the muffler system is very expensive, so it waits
(you'll hear me coming before I do). I did get three new tires
though, a few Bridgestones for the upcoming winter. On another
note, my aunt showed me this Political
Quiz that quizes you on many policies. Then it tells you
who you side with most. My results of course led me to where
I was planning on casting my vote... to Kerry. Take the quiz
and see who you should be voting for.

10/12/04 (9:15 PM): I've completed Phase I of Apple
101 (yes, I know I'm a huge dork), I sampled a slight bit
from the "leftover" tray... yummy. I also updated
my movie list. Yeah! Wegmans, used DVDs 3 for $24, a very good
deal. I got 4/6 that I've never seen but wanted to. If they
stink, I'll just sell them on eBay for my $$ back!
-
10/11/04 (11:59 PM): I've begun Apple
101, a little science project to test which apples make
the best apple chips. Seriously, these apple chips kick ass,
make you hungry, but damn they are good. I made a little webite
to test my progress too. Go check it out.
-
10/10/04 (1:56 PM): Nothing fun to report this weekend.
I slept a lot and was in bed before 12 both Friday and Saturday.
Damn I need a life! But seriously, I needed the rest. I think
I was starting to get sick. I did however get the wedding pictures,
finally. The link is under the photos page, or for your convenience,
I also got my car registered, cleaned and goober goned the windows
(yes, there was something stuck to every window but the front
side windows), and put the new stickers on. Now I'm heading
out to clean the car and get some photos printed at Wally World
for my cousin to take home to Alaska. Someday soon I'll get
those camping photos up, they are next on my list.
-
10/5/04 (11:39 PM): Already getting crap about my camping
pictures getting up and crap about Adele's wedding shots not
being up. People, I'm busy. It takes time to go through the
200 shots I take on a trip and correct and rotate them all.
My machine is slow, it's a lengthy process. There are millions
of pictures I've taken that you haven't seen and may never get
too. This is because I don't have time to go through them all.
And I won't settle for pictures not corrected. It's just wrong.
I know, I owe you a story too, takes significantly less time
to do that, but there is a lot to do after a trip. Air out your
tent, do laundry, shop for laundry detergent (and you know how
distracted I get in Walmart). Oh, speaking of WalMart, I bought
Aladdin! YEAH! When DVDs are released, Walmart carries them
$5+ below normal cost on the release date. A good thing to keep
in mind....
-
10/3/04 (10:55 PM): Camping was extremely fun. I so
love it. I'll try to get on soon to post more and pictures,
but I'm exhausted tonight. I'll sleep well though. I also had
chair-ity this week, had a great dinner, saw a great play, started
October (so crazy it's October already). So, you hopefully have
some updating due to you. Sleep now though, sad I have to go
to work tomorrow.
