11/06/07 (10:48 AM): I just got back from NYC. I went to the annual ahaa conference with work. Long days of working registration and socializing. It was a good trip. Except for a little ex drama, but sometimes that happens. Sometimes people just do not live up to your expectations. The streets of NYC were crazy on Halloween. Traffic was at a complete standstill because of all the people. People shoulder to shoulder, in costume, moving through the crowds. It was crazy. We went to the Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum for one of the events.

Last weekend I sent to Harrisonburg with Lydia for JMU homecoming activities. Not all that exciting for me, but a good time overall. We stayed with Sarah and Beth, a lovely couple who just got a new house. Lydia and I recycled our double-cross dress party costumes to go to a costume party. We were retired porn stars. Everyone likes big fake boobs... it didn't really matter what we were.

The weekend before we went to the Ren Fest in Maryland, wow, what fun. I didn't get to really see or do anything around the fair (other than chow). But, at the end of the night they have a pub dance which is a lot of fun. The crowd even started signing "We don't need no, education..." and made it through at least 4 lines. Funny.
I was feeling bad about not exercising enough. I joined kickball, but I drink more calories than I burn. I'm really missing hockey and snow boarding, so I found a women's hockey league. I'm going to be a sub, which means I probably won't play any games. But, it means that I can participate in practice every week, which I need. Now I just pay $15/practice or $25/game, which is much more affordable than the $750 a year for the 12 games and practices. Man, I miss hockey's prices back home.
On another note, I have a free place ticket I need to use by January 17. I want to go somewhere where I can snow board, any takers? I have an invite to Florida... which might be a fun trip too. I really want to hit the slopes again. I missed it so over the summer. I'm also taking visitors to the DC area. I need people to do the cheesy tourist stuff with me, it's just not as much fun by myself. So, come visit!

10/07/07 (10:48 AM): So it's been forever since I've updated...
I know. I've been avoiding putting things up here, for reasons
you'll have to ask me about over e-mail. I went to Oktoberfest
in Shirlington yesterday, which was so much fun! So many good
beers and great food. But, when I was leaving Jim's apartment,
I slipped on a hill that was covered in dry pine needles and
scrapped up my arm real good. Then, I had to go work my second
job (I cater chocolate fountains) and when I was cleaning up
it slipped and I spilled chocolate all down the front of me,
in my shoe, and arg, on the carpet. I hope I didn't lose that
client for her. That would be bad. So, other than that, I'm getting
a new car! YEAH! I pick it up next Thursday on my way home to
Mike and Aja's wedding. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone!
