11/28/04 (7:12 PM): Last night I was out sooo late.
We went dancing! I had much fun, I love to dance. Then I hung
out with some new people, which is always fun. Thanks Andrey
for turning my uneventful night into good times! The only unfortunate
part is that I had to awake for church this morning. Man, that
was difficult. It's bad enough trying to sing on a Sunday morning,
but even worse when you've had no sleep. I did OK still. I slept
after church for a couple of hours until I got a phone call,
but it was a welcomed call. I have to go to work tomorrow. Arg...
so sick of the daily routine.

11/25/04 (10:20 PM): Turkey Day was a good one. I made
greens and beans, but alas I do not think the family is as big
of a fan as I... I enjoyed them. I also popped into Culver Turkey
Day to get my hugs in. Always welcoming voices and faces, I
love my family. My dad had much to be thankful for today. This
morning he got an 8-point (I think) buck. He was very proud
and he should be! Good job Dad!
Tomorrow I have to go to work. Not looking forward to it, but
it needs to be done. Then I have another two days off. Yeah!
Tomorrow after work I hope to move the rest of my crap from
storage and switch my cell phone to Verizon. Oh, in other news,
Geico called me and told me they were working to get back some
of my deductible from the other insurance company from my accident.
Money now would be helpful. I don't think they faulted me for
the accident. I never saw a police report, but they wouldn't
be trying to get back my deductible if it were my fault.

11/24/04 (10:52 PM): Turkey Day is tomorrow. Mostly,
I'm just happy that I don't have to go to work tomorrow. Yeah,
sleep.

11/23/04 (11:05 PM): Today was a better day. I got up,
got ready, signed my paperwork, had a good work day. We then
had a committee meeting for the under 40 group we are starting.
We have a name even, IGNITE (Invest Grow Network Inspire Teach
Empower). We hammered out a vision, mission, goals, objectives,
and planned for our next informal gathering. I then raced home
for choir, which I always love. Today at work I wore my Princess
Leia hair-do for our Christmas card (I'm Joy). Then Lydia wrapped
her scarf around them for a laugh and I got so many complements.
Thought I'd share my festive do. Now I just need my sister to
make me some mini scarves like it, one for each bun (hint hint,
christmas gift)!

11/22/04 (11:49 PM): So, today has been a day of ups
and downs. Mostly, I still feel down. I woke up (down), took
a chug of V8 from the fridge and then looked down
at the black rim on the container and almost puked into the
sink as I spit (down), found out I have to go in late tomorrow
because the storage place can't process my paperwork until 9am
(down), on my ride to work I ate a shitty microwave breakfast
sandwich that I threw half out (down), and saw a bunch of hunters,
which made me think of my pop in his tree stand and all the
other sportsman out there that are happy it's deer season (up).
I then was driving along, drinking my Pepsi, when I looked at
my finger and noticed that the diamond in my graduation ring
was gone (huge down). Got to work, had a shitty day (bigger
down). Lydia made me dinner and we went to the Y to sweat off
some of the shittiness of the day (up) and ran into Val's dad
and step mom (up), drove home (mixed), DVR not working for days,
spent an hour on hold with Time Warner (down), only for us to
fix it (before I was taken off hold). Watched CSI (always an
up), got ready for bed. I had not looked for the diamond at
all, I figured, it's lost (it's a small diamond). Then I had
a brainstorm. I took a shower that morning. My dad (poor dad)
had cleaned my wads of hair out of the drain. I search the wad
and found my diamond (big up). Now, it's late because I have
not been able to sleep (down), so I need rest (up).

11/21/04 (10:31 PM): The great move is almost done.
Lydia helped my Dad and I move today, thanks Lyddie! 4 truck
loads and one china buffet latter and we made it home. I have
one more truck full and a couple of car loads left to pack up
and then my storage will officially be relocated. This unit
is 50 sq. feet larger and the ceiling is way taller. We were
able to more efficiently pack this one, so I still have quite
a lot of space left. This is a good thing. I'd rather have some
space than no space. So, now I'm tired. I got many calls tonight
and returned most of them. I seemed to be very popular today,
which normally no one calls me! I think I'm taking a trip in
the beginning months of next year to see my Lippa. He's going
to Colorado for the winter and I think it would be wonderful
to see it. Should be a great trip, I hope it happens, we still
need to work out the details!

11/20/04 (11:20 PM): Ice skating was great. I'm getting
better. Although my ass, not so great. I did fall a few times,
but you can't learn anything new without being afraid to fall.
Spongebob Squarepants movie... really dumb. But, it was so dumb
it made me laugh. It was pretty good for most of the movie,
but at the end, they took it really far and got super weird
with it... I also, while out and about, discovered a packet
of hot sauce I got from Taco Bell in my pocket. When I saw this
particular packet, I laughed very hard. However, even the Bell
is stealing Homer's lines.

11/20/04 (6:05 PM): Sorry for the previous post, I needed
to rant. Anywho, last night, Lydia went to drag me to Spongebob.
I finally agreed and it was sold out. SO, we saw National Treasure.
It was a good story, full of historical information, but rather
cheesy (as I expected). However, I love Nicholas Cage... then
we went to a couple of bars. We are still looking for the scene
in Auburn. We may have found it. Curly's seemed to have a lot
of people there. I ran into some folks from my past, Josh Duall,
Mark Fidelli, and Jamie Rivers. We exchanged hellos and Josh
was a gentleman and bought me a drink! Thanks Josh, good to
see you again! I also played darts. Not really my specialty,
but once Lydia finally fixed the way I threw the dart, I actually
did well!
I saw my cousin Kelsy today. Damn that kid is cute! I spent
lots of time playing with her. Made me miss the boy though.
I also went to Seneca Falls to get a new storage unit. Tomorrow
I will be moving all my contents from Newark to Seneca Falls.
Not really looking forward to doing it, but I need more space
and it'll be easier for me to get at there. Tonight we are going
Ice Skating in Geneva, then trying to catch Spongebob afterwards.
I will let you know how it is!

11/18/04 (10:45 PM): I'm in a slump. I think I'm getting
sick. I'm so tired of getting up, doing the same thing, not
having anyone to relieve stress too, having to deal with the
WORST roommate I've ever had, too bad we are related... I find
myself hating her more and more every minute, always blaming
others, never taking responsibility, always "me me me"
"mine mine mine." You point out one thing and she
changes the subject. You cannot have a conversation with her,
because she does not talk. The only words out of her mouth are
always in the form of screaming. No one can do right, she is
the queen bee who never does anything wrong. We should all bow
to Kim, even though she does nothing for anyone else.
Doesn't matter if I was watching something and she wasn't around
for hours... she'll come in the room, bitch that I'm watching
TV when SHE wants and it turns into a fight... I'm the worst
thing that ever happened to her and nothing will change that.
sigh. losing sanity.

11/15/04 (10:23 PM): Kitchen is sparkling clean. Parents
are home. Was quoted in the paper, although I was misquoted.
Long day of work. Decided to experiment with some ingredients
and made a kick ass dinner. It was so good. This is what I think
I did.... Beth's Stuffed
Chicken

11/14/04 (12:10 AM): Well, thought I'd check in before
I hit the sack. Had an eventful night with Sara. We ate at the
Corner and then hit the Clyde bowling alley. I ran into a few
of my elementary school teachers, which was a little unusual.
We bowled a few games. The first game I got spanked by Shawn
and Sara, but the second game I creamed them. With a meager
score of 110. Now I'm slightly buzzed and ready for bed. My
parents do not come back until Monday night, which I'm grateful
for. Lots of work to do still.
Oh, the summit yesterday was pretty good. Very empowering to
see so many young professionals gathered. Also great to get
to know some more people I didn't know so well. No date, but
that's ok. I only want to date someone who gets me going! Have
not really met that person yet. The ones that do either seem
to be not interested, live far away, or are taken. Oh well,
someday.
-
11/11/04 (11:05 PM): Last night we had our first gathering
of the Young Professionals group that we are trying to get started
in Cayuga County. We had a decent turn-out, 15-20 people! It
was an informal thing, but we had a great time. Tomorrow we
are going to the 40
Below Summit in Syracuse. It should be a great time as well.
We are riding up on a bus, most of the people we had dinner
with last night. Who knows, maybe I'll find myself a date tomorrow!
Afterwards, Lydia and I are going out in Auburn with her friends
from home who are visiting. I think I'm getting drunk tomorrow...
not sure if I'm excited about that or not.
-
11/07/04 (2:11 AM): RIT wins again, 2-1 vs. Utica. This
game was closer, but didn't seem as exciting. I think Hobart
is kinda our "rival" because they are close to home.
The energy at Friday's game was quite different. Still an awesome
show though. Then we went to see the Incredibles. It was so
good, I recommend you see it. One of Pixars best I think. If
you liked Toy Story, I think you'll really like this movie.
All in all, good weekend. Got some shit done, had a bunch of
good times... still didn't get my skates though. Have to do
that tomorrow maybe so I can go to the rink.
-
11/06/04 (12:43 PM): Saturday, at last. So much shit
to do, not enough time. Lots of Laundry... Lots of TV to watch,
although Kimmer is laid out on the couch, so I don't think that
will happen. Also need to get my Hockey Skates at a Play It
Again Sports, burn CDs, install my memory and hardrive and reformat...
I did however get my Family requested Christmas List up. It's
pretty short... I'll expand on it as I think of things, especially
affordable ones. May go out tonight in Auburn, something I have
not done yet... but I think directly after this post I'm going
for a bike ride to soak up some sun. I do not get any sun anymore,
damn daylight savings. It's dark when I leave work, very depressing.
In other news, RIT massacred Hobart last night 6-1. I took
Lydia with me, it was her very first game. Then I ate dinner
with Steve and his friend Kate. We had a good time! I thought
about going to the game tonight, but I think one trip to Rochester
is all I can afford. Gas is too expensive and my next paycheck
is completely spent in Bills. Sigh, I think I need a Winter
Temp Job.
It other, other news, my ex is engaged. Congratulations to
Chris and Christina. He was nice enough to call and tell me,
so I didn't find out through other people. I really do wish
them best. Which leads me to my next point in life... everyone
around me is getting married and having kids! Three years ago
I couldn't wait to do so, now, I'm going to take my dear sweet
ol time. I'm so not ready for a husband or children, I can barely
take care of myself!
-
11/04/04 (12:35 AM): I just returned from my very first
hockey game! What an experience that was. I am a sorry excuse
for a hockey player! Well, in my defense I've only been ice
skating three times in my life, and neither of those three times
was with hockey skates. After I finally got on all the equipment
(holy crap you put on a lot of shit, definitely not hurting
if I fall), I'd say I did pretty well... I only fell once and
I was knocked into (or tripped over?). That to me says "Good
Job." I'm going to locate a Play It Again Sports to pick
me up some used skates and get some skating time in at the rink
in Auburn. The only crap thing is that public skating is just
on the weekends, so I'll have to drive to Auburn then too. I'll
have to see when Geneva's Rink is open. I can't play next week
because we have our first gathering of the Young Professionals
Group (40- group to meet other young people in the area) that
I am helping to start up in Auburn through the Chamber of Commerce.
So, I have two weeks to learn to skate better. Then I have to
learn how to play... let's hope I improve some. I've killed
my bedtime tonight... and every Wednesday night to come.
-
11/02/04 (7:43 PM): Election day. It has come at last.
This very night will determine who is running our country for
the next four years. It will not happen again until I'm 27.
On another note, Kimmer hurt herself. The docs are not sure
what she did, but she hurts and can not seem to figure out the
crutches. So, to stay out of harms way, I'll be hiding in my
room with the election info on. Now the trip to NC may be postponed...
and I was so looking forward to being able to finally get some
stuff done around here that I refuse to do when they are home.
Oh well, hopefully they'll go another time. sigh.
-
11/01/04 (10:56 PM): DON'T FORGET TO VOTE TOMORROW!
That is, if you are voting for Kerry... I'll allow you to forget
if your vote is for Bush. Nah, just kidding. I do support Kerry,
but definitely vote... it's the one small thing we have the
power to change in the system! And changing it needs!
Had a good night tonight, Did the Kardio Kick class at the
Y. Damn, that gets the heart rate up. Didn't think I was going
to make it through, but I did! Let's see how I feel in the morning.
Also, Tracey from Softball contacted me back about playing hockey!!
Can I skate... no. Do I know the game of hockey... not really.
But I'm going to have a hell of a time trying to figure them
both out! Very exciting!
